Abstract:
The paper is meant to be Laudatio on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Dr. Dumitru Murariu, a corresponding member of the Romanian Academy, an outstanding personality in the field of Romanian biological sciences and an important specialist of the Romanian school of Zoology, highly appreciated for his papers on mammalogy, nature conservation and museology.
